
Welcome to the web-site of award winning composers Michael and Jill Gallina. The Gallinas have achieved national prominence as the foremost composers of musical plays and choral music for youth in elementary, middle, junior and senior high schools.Their clever creations in story and song have consistently won awards from the Parents Choice Foundation, American Library Service for Children and ASCAP.
Their chorals have sold millions of copies and their musical plays have thousands of performances across the globe each year. In addition, their music has been featured on The Disney Channel, America's Funniest Videos, The World's Largest Concert, The Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Sing for the Cure, a documentary on children's rights for the United Nations , the New York Philharmonic’s Young People’s Concert, the Boston Pops 4th of July Celebration, as well as a multitude of other musical venues.
Both Michael and Jill Gallina received B.A. degrees from the College of New Jersey where they were recent recipients of the Stanley Austin Alumni Award for their achievements in the field of composition.Jill taught elementary music before becoming a full time composer. Michael completed a masters degree in music from the College of New Jersey as well as a masters and doctorate in Administration and Supervision from Rutgers University.In addition to his writing collaborations with Jill, he is principal of the Angelo L. Tomaso School in Warren, New Jersey.
As well as writing, the Gallinas travel all over the English speaking world performing educational and music workshops. Their areas of specialty include musical theater, music and movement, and every aspect of utilizing quality music to educate and inspire students and audiences alike.
